S & D Falconry is located in 86 acres of open grassland and woodland north of Stratford upon Avon within easy reach of the M5, M6, A46 and A43400. This perfect venue gives numerous opportunities to photograph birds of prey stationary and in flight. The birds include Harris Hawks, Barn Owls, Peregrine Falcon, Kestrel, Great Horned Owl and Gyr Saker. New birds are being added to the collection frequently and the hatching of a Ferrunginous Hawk is eagerly awaited.

Courses are held here throughout the year and are a balance of theory and opportunities to put theory into practice to obtain great images of the birds. Courses which are either half or a full day are designed to enable students to learn in a relaxed friendly atmosphere at their own pace with one to one tuition if required. Small groups enable the tutors to give ample time to each student. Venues are chosen to ensure lecture facilities are in close proximity to the birds/animals. We hope that all of our students leave with some great images and many positive memories.

Students require only appropriate outdoor clothing and a digital SLR camera with a medium telephoto lens. Long lenses are not required as the birds are in close proximity. During the days students may have the opportunity to view and have some of their images printed. Refreshments are provide throughout the day and lunch is included on whole day courses

The aim of the courses is to provide unique opportunities whilst improving photographic skills and learning about the subject – the birds.
